Crossroads Coaching proudly offers
The Recovery Coaching Circle
The Recovery Circle is a service of Crossroads Coaching that provides you with a coach and a client so that you receive quality coaching and are paid to coach. You, your coach, and your client are all persons interested in addiction recovery. You must have some coach training to qualify to join the Recovery Coaching Circle.
Assignments: You receive the name, phone and email address of your coach and client a few days before the new month. Be sure to make contact with your coach and client right away to set up a coaching schedule for the upcoming month. Plan to coach and be coached four times per month for 30 minutes per session, or three times per month for 40 minutes per session.
Registration: To register for the Circle, please send a Pre-registration email to Alida Schuyler at Coaching Circle Pre-Registration.
Costs, Payments: The cost for the Circle is $140 per month. You are paid $100 per month to coach. Your paycheck comes by US mail in approximately three weeks. Crossroads Coaching keeps $40 per month to cover administration costs.
We encourage you to pay by recurring credit/debit card transaction. This prevents late fees and keeps administration costs down so we can provide affordable coaching services. To set up your credit or debit card payment, proceed to the "Subscribe" button below. Alternately, if you will email authorization to automatically charge your card on a recurring basis to Mike Johnsen, he will process your charge on the 10th of each month. Should you encounter difficulty, please call Mike at 425.772.9618, or email him at
crossroads-assistant@comcast.net.
If paying by check, make checks payable to Crossroads Coaching and mail to: 492 Walkabout Way, Port Angeles, WA 98363.
Monthly Coaching Circle
Crossroads Coaching Monthly FAQ Sheet
How does the Recovery Circle work?
When you sign up for the Coaching Circle you will be matched up with a coach and client for the upcoming month. You will receive your assignments by email a few days before the beginning of the month. Get in touch right away and start coaching! By the 18th you will receive an email asking you for your preferences for the next month's Circle. Reply to this with your preferences. Let us know by the 23rd if you are planning to drop out or take a month off. At the end of month we send you a paycheck by mail for your coaching and you will receive a statement reflecting your current balance.
Do I get a new coach and client each month? Let us know what you want to do. The benefit of having a new coach or client is your gain experience in a wide range of coaching styles and client issues. The benefit of staying with the same coach or client is that you get to know and trust one another and the coaching can go deeper.
You can choose to keep both your coach and client (choose "same coach/same client") or get a new coach or a new client (choose "new coach/same client" or "same coach/new client") or both new coach and client (choose "new coach/new client") Remember both coach and client should both ask to stay together.
Why don't coach and client pay each other directly? Payment to Crossroads ensures that your coach and client are committed to a professional coaching relationship. Your paid coaching hours count towards ICF certification. Crossroads does the administration work so you don't have to worry about money or finding a client or getting a coach. You get paid each month.
Why does Mike ask for my social security number? We are required by law to report annual payments above $600 to the IRS. You will receive a 1099 each January letting you know how much you earned as a coach in the Recovery Circle.
How long does the Circle last?
When you sign up for the Circle you contact to coach and be coached one month at a time. You can stop at the end of any month by letting us know by the 23rd. Some people stay in the Circle ongoing because it provides the best affordable professional Recovery Coaching available.
Thanks for joining the Recovery Circle and being part of the Crossroads community.
